Livvy Tom’s FashionaBALL Takeover

When I got the Instagram notification from @bounce_uk that Bounce Energy Balls had been unveiled as the official supplier of healthy snacks for London Fashion Week AW18 (LFW), of course I was over the moon for my favourite on-the-go protein-packed snack. So, I’m sure you can imagine I was quite possibly BOUNCING off the walls when I was asked to go along to LFW with the very strict instructions of eating all Bounce Balls in sight, and capturing it all on their Instagram story…. or something along those lines. I think I did a pretty good job! Just in case you missed my takeover, here’s what I got up to on day five of LFW.

First thing’s first, what does a girl who wears active wear 99% of the time wear to such a fashionable event? We went for the effortlessly cool look, and boy, it was a winner! Denim shirt (always in, or so I’m told!), leather skirt and over-the-knee boots, with a cheeky coral lip.

Now I looked the part, it was time to hit the show. I was on the hunt and definitely in for a treat! Bounce Balls from across the range were bouncing throughout LFW – in the model zone, backstage, and in my clutch bag as I prepared to watch Teatum Jones’ #globalwomanhood collection launch on the catwalk.

Teatum Jones is a London-based luxury label recognised for its modern, polished and bold aesthetic, and its audience of smart, creative and confident women. The collection is inspired by a collective of 25 unique women who embody the Teatum Jones spirit, including women such as models Munroe Bergdorf, Kelly Knox, singer Foxes, and activist Caryn Franklin. By asking these women from different social back grounds, ages and ethnicities three questions about their most instinctive human emotions, Teatum Jones took us on a journey through their moments of intense joy, sadness and hope. These intimate and raw conversations were recorded in a film, and premiered throughout the AW18 catwalk show. In spite of their differences, they unite through their moments of intense joy, sadness and hope. Thus the concept of #globalwomanhood came to life -  personally, I was BALLED over by the Teatum Jones AW18 collection. I found it incredibly humbling to have had the chance to see this collection making its debut! My personal mantra on my Instagram (@Livvytom29…shameless plug!) is ‘female empowerment, through promoting strength and confidence within women who love themselves, and embrace their individuality to allow the best versions of themselves to shine or bounce!’ And for those of you wondering that Bounce Ball in my clutch didn’t make it through the show….

Whilst making the most of my VIP pass, I couldn’t help but smile every time I spotted the colourful array of Bounce Balls scattered around the venue – from the main entrance, to the VIP lounge and show rooms. I wasn’t the only person gobbling the Bounce Balls (I know, I had to share…) – lots of people were bouncing around, ball in hand, with the energy to take on LFW crowds and obviously the gruelling task of shopping in the beautiful show rooms. This got me thinking as I wondered around. I’m so proud that LFW and the British fashion council embraced a healthy snack – especially Bounce UK – to provide the goods for this year’s fashion show. Why? Because good nutrition is absolutely vital in order to keep our energy levels up and our eyes bright – to shop till we drop, or to Bounce our way down the catwalk…

The fun didn’t stop there…oh no! I returned to LFW three days later in my more familiar active wear attire, armed with my Bounce Balls and black Americano, ready to take on yoga on the catwalk; hosted by head yoga instructor Chris Magee and master trainer @another_space London. This was followed by a wellness talk with Head Trainers, from another space discussing methods of self-care and finding balance. What a perfect and unique way to wrap up my LFW experience!
